OR Concepts Applied (ORCA), a California corporation founded in 1989, is devoted to excellence in algorithm development and software engineering. ORCA provides technical services and software products for applications of operations research methods. ORCA’s specialty is building mission planning and route optimization software for low observable (LO) aircraft. Early successes included the development of a single sortie route planner and a tool for allocating multiple aircraft to a collection of targets.

Leadership Statement

The business thrust of ORCA is to provide models, algorithms, and software tools to the military and its contractors in the areas of mission planning, autorouting, and analysis. The goal for planning tools developed by ORCA is to provide good solutions to mission planning problems. To ensure that ORCA’s software is usable, ORCA works closely with customers to ensure that critical details of everyday operations are reflected in ORCA’s software.
